About This Scholarship

This scholarship is sponsored by William J. Michaelis, a 1964 Stuyvesant Alumnus. Please refer to the linked sites for more information on the donor and his book, The Leader’s Handbook.

Applicant Criteria.

  1. Candidate must be a graduating senior from Stuyvesant High School.
  2. Candidate must demonstrate financial need
  3. Candidate must be in good academic standing*
  4. Candidate must be an active varsity athlete, preferably in basketball or ultimate frisbee.
  5. Candidate must aspire to work in education, social sciences or human services.

*Scholarship is not solely determined based on class standing or GPA.
