2026 Benefit for Stuyvesant Recap & Photos
What an incredible night celebrating the Stuyvesant community!
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the 2026 Benefit for Stuyvesant brought together alumni from across generations, along with parents, faculty, and friends, for a memorable evening filled with energy, connection, and Stuy pride.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’re proud to share that this year’s Benefit was our most successful yet, raising over $1.2 million and still counting!
During the evening, we honored Ilana D. Weinstein ’88 with the Golden Pegleg Award and Sam Rosen ’64 with the Outstanding Pegleg in Broadcasting Award, recognizing their remarkable achievements and lasting impact. Their inspiring words and lifelong dedication served as a powerful reminder of the values that unite the Stuyvesant community.
Guests came together in support of the Stuy Fund, which helps sustain Stuyvesant, empower its dynamic student body, and strengthen fellowship among alumni. Contributions directly support student programs, academic enrichment, mentorship, research, athletics, the arts, scholarships, and so much more. We are deeply grateful for your support of Stuyvesant and the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association.

The Golden Pegleg was created completely at Stuyvesant. Bill Ni ’19 designed the award for the first Benefit in 2019 and each year the individual awards are 3D-printed in the Irwin Zahn ’44 Innovation Lab.
We look forward to welcoming you back at next year’s celebration!
