The Peter Brooks Computer Science for Social Good Prize

About This Scholarship

This award is established in memory of Peter Brooks, a beloved and dedicated Computer Science teacher at Stuyvesant High School whose creativity, warmth, and unwavering commitment to his students left a lasting mark on the school community. He was known for inspiring students to think critically about the impact of technology on society and encouraging them to use their skills for the greater good.


Applicant Criteria

  1. Candidate must demonstrate financial need.
  2. Candidate must exhibit merit in Computer Science.
  3. Candidate must display interest in pursuing future studies and/or career in Computer Science for social responsibility.

The recipient will be selected annually by the Chair of the Computer Science Department.
