Anna Nikolayevsky graduated from NYU with a Bachelor’s degree and completed her MBA at Columbia University. As the founder and current CIO of Axel Capital Management, a fundamentally driven alternatives firm specializing in global equities, she invests in equities across a variety of sectors and geographies. Prior to Axel Capital’s founding, Anna was an analyst at Zweig-DiMenna Associates, LLC, a multi-billion dollar hedge fund where she was responsible for sourcing and managing long/short equity investments in multiple industries. She has received multiple accolades for her work; in 2011, Ernst & Young LLP named Anna one of 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds. Most recently, she accepted the Investor’s Choice awards for Emerging Fund of 2015 and the Emerging Global Equity fund of 2015. She attributes some of her success to Stuyvesant. She recalls her Stuyvesant experience fondly and is deeply appreciative of the school’s meritocratic nature. Anna has previous board experience at Lincoln Center and Girls Who Invest and is eager to continue her contributions as a member of the Board of Directors.
