The Carmine Coppola Music Composition Award

About This Scholarship

This award is established in memory of Carmine Coppola, an Academy Award-winning American composer and songwriter who contributed original music to the cult classic The Godfather trilogy and Apocalypse Now. Having strong connections to Stuyvesant High School since the late 1920s, Coppola went on to study at the Juilliard School before becoming an orchestra conductor on Broadway.


Applicant Criteria

  • Candidate must be a graduating senior from Stuyvesant High School.
  • Candidate must display merit in Musics.

The recipient will be selected annually by the Music Department Coordinator.
