2026 BIPOC Youth Summit Recap & Photos

This past Saturday, Stuyvesant High School hosted the fourth annual BIPOC Youth Summit focusing on Forward-Focused Resilience, bringing together students, families, alumni, and community leaders for a day of reflection, and meaningful conversations.

The day featured an Alumni Panel with alumni from Brooklyn Tech, Bronx Science, and Stuyvesant, offering students honest insight and encouragement. We were also honored to welcome NYC Public Advocate Jumaane Williams, a Brooklyn Tech alum, who shared powerful reflections on equity, and advocacy.

Students and parents participated in dedicated workshops, including Hot Topics: Next Gen led by Tara Williams and a parent session Empowerment Through Understanding Race-Based Traumatic Stress and The Journey of Radical Self-Care led by Tracyavon Ford, LCSW-R.

The summit concluded with a forward-focused vision board workshop led by Dr. Jeaurel Wilson and time to connect as a community.

Thank you to our speakers, students, workshop facilitators and families for making this day so meaningful!
